A slap on the wrist IMO
hinton would have started this year over Rouse at rover and wouldve been the best rover in tech history
he never got to see the field b/c Beamer booted him

I agree.. I would send him and his selfish attitude packing!
be better off without him in my opinion
I agree PHD. I don't think they realized, until now, what they lost when Randall graduated.
"There he goes, one of Gods own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die"
I think some of you are missing a point. Think of the Bobby Bowden rule. He has kids arrested, in trouble with the law, he has sat right there and talked about suspending them for a 'nothing game' or sitting them a half, and will be honest with you, he isn't going to do anything to hurt him or the team really.
Vick has some issues, but when Tech is out there recruiting, and lets think of what the 'quality' is of the top athletes. Most of them only care about one thing, themselves, attention, money at the end. Now if you are getting the option of going to most schools, or going to somewhere Vick is, who's going to get attention and thus get you attention if you play, most are going to go there. So as much stupidity as Vick may do, he does help recruit by giving attention. I think Beamer did right, he is punishing him, he made him go into the enemy locker room to appologize, shoot most coaches would have said, well you know in the heat of the battle sometimes people do stupid things and shrugged it off. I'll agree that it was a stupid move by Vick and if it had hurt the guy, then I think you would be looking at more, but since it didn't hurt him, it would and probably should be about what it was.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
Anyone think he may enter the draft?
nope

He enters the draft, he's shooting himself in the foot. He needs to play a year, play well, improve and stay out of trouble, which may be the biggest task.

I do know this, if this guy had any other name except "VICK" on the back of his jersey, then he would have been kicked out of the program after the WVU game. We keep forgetting about not only the flipping off of fans & the ball flipping, but also the time where he ran out of bounds and put a shoulder pad into the back of a WVU assistant that was minding his own business on the sideline.
Dude's talented, but he's a dirty player and he's spineless. When teams beat VT this year, it was due to them hitting MV2 harder than he expected to get hit and not putting up with his BS. Ya know, he'll do this stuff against WVU & Louisville, but you didn't see much of it against Miami or FSU, did ya? That's because he got SCARED & frustrated in those latter two matchups, while in the other two, he wasn't scared, just frustrated and still confident he could come back and win.

I don't believe that he can stay out of trouble and he want make it through next season. It want suprise me to see him mess up this spring sem and be gone before next year.
